Bernadette Tynan is a world first in her field of mind, brain and learning and gifted children; in her field she is the only author internationally to have had not only documentaries, but an entire 6 part series based on her work, in which she works LIVE, with real children to achieve amazing results using her methods and knowledge. She is also the only author in her field to have achieved TWO best selling books internationally for parents, with Make Your Child Brilliant Achieving Top 10 Best Seller List on Amazon in 2008, and prior to this Your Child Can Think Like a Genius, which for those of you living in Australasia and the Far East, was best seller internationally and remained in Straits Times Top 10 Best Seller List for 6 months.
What makes Bernadette Tynan unique in her field, is her ability not only to lecture to the highest standards and levels (she has given many talks to international leaders and delegates and is a former Senior Lecturer in Gifted Children at the Westminster Institute, (formerly Westminster College), Oxford, but also her rare ability to take complex information from the fields of neuroscience and others she combines in her work, and make it totally and easily accessible to parents, students and children from all walks of life. These personal qualities, combined with her honest, forthright, and excellent communication ability, have enabled Bernadette to take advanced knowledge from neuroscience within her methodology and apply it, with direct, tangible, practical results in her work with children. She shows HOW it is done, and in the process has changed peoples’ lives for the better, for real. It is this open and honest ability that has earned her a respected place amongst the media world wide. Indeed, Bernadette herself was asked to be resident writer and expert on children and education for the prestigious London Sunday Telegraph, following her UK Six Part TV Series, which has now aired in several countries around the world, and continues to do so. Bernadette Tynan has most recently featured on Chinese Central Television, that reaches out to 1 Billion Chinese households and has attracted a following of 20,000,000 on CCTV10, the science, discovery and education Central Chinese TV channel. Prior to this Bernadette Tynan has featured on many programmes for the BBC, Channel Four’s popular answer to Oprah Winfrey in the UK, ‘Richard and Judy’, whose famous ‘sofa’ has played host to those at the top of their game in every field, including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise and many more. Bernadette has featured on the popular Australian Life Styles Channel, Five News UK, NZ Breakfast TV, ITV UK Breakfast TV, Channel News Asia Prime Time TV, and has had her own documentary feature on NZTV’s universally respected ‘Sunday’ programme. The Australian Financial Business Review dubbed Bernadette’s method and approach ‘Genius at Work,’ The London Times described Bernadette as a ‘prolific author of our times’.
The London Observer on her work and practical, measurable results with children, described her work as ‘remarkable’; one of the most widely read national newspapers in the UK, the Sunday Express stated that Bernadette was ‘more than qualified saviour of our children and schools’, dedicating 3 pages in their Sunday Express Magazine to an article written by Bernadette entitled ‘Beautiful Minds’ taken from the name of her charity. The Daily Mail maintained that with her methods ‘Bernadette lets bright children shine’; The Daily Telegraph described her work as ‘impressive,’ The Listener, New Zealand had this to say: ‘her first book was a sell out, she really does train children’s brains’.
Bernadette maintains that her real secret is not just her knowledge and method but her passion for ensuring that EVERY child has their gifts and talents recognized, nurtured and supported. To this end she established a charity with the capacity to spread world wide, and is also Appointed Child and Family Ambassador for the Meningitis Trust (Patron HRH Countess of Wessex), which she takes very seriously in her day to day work. As well as gifted children, Bernadette holds a wide bank of knowledge and expertise, and has written articles on the subject of Dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger’s, Dual Exceptionality, as well as gifted children, the mind, brain and learning for numerous publications internationally, including The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Express, My Child Magazine (UK), and is a regular contributor to the long established and leading Singapore parent and education magazine, Singapore’s Child Magazine.
